Underline Text Generator — U̲n̲d̲e̲r̲l̲i̲n̲e̲d̲ Copy & Paste Text
Who this is for: For adding emphasis and link-look highlights in bios, comments, and plain-text docs where the formatting toolbar doesn't exist.
Not the right tool for: Links — underlined text doesn't become clickable; style real links with your platform's link tool · Documents with native formatting — editors with a real underline render it as true formatting, not per-character marks
Underline text on platforms without an underline button: single and double Unicode underlines, copy and paste ready.
Quick answer: Unicode underline appends a combining low line (U+0332) per character: "Hello World" → H̲e̲l̲l̲o̲ ̲W̲o̲r̲l̲d̲; the double variant (U+0333) → H̳e̳l̳l̳o̳ ̳W̳o̳r̳l̳d̳. Both are plain text and paste anywhere.
14/200 characters — every style updates live. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

How do you underline plain text?
The generator appends the combining low line (U+0332) after every character, so each letter carries its own underline: "Hello World" → H̲e̲l̲l̲o̲ ̲W̲o̲r̲l̲d̲. The Double variant uses the combining double low line (U+0333) for a heavier H̳e̳l̳l̳o̳ ̳W̳o̳r̳l̳d̳. Because these are standard combining characters — the same machinery that puts accents over letters — the underline survives copy-paste on every platform that accepts text, including ones with no formatting support at all.
